The Washington D.C. Department of Health Care Finance has implemented a new Medicaid Management Information System.

Affiliated Computer Services developed the $111 million system over a 27 month period.  ACS has been the District’s Medicaid fiscal agent since 2001.

The new system features a Web portal and interactive voice response system (IVR) offering real-time submission and processing of Medicaid claims, claim status, recipient eligibility verification and provider payment information.  It can also help reduce fraud and overpayment by analyzing provider payments.
