Hospital Reimbursement Specialist

eScan Data Systems, Inc. is a healthcare analytics software company located in downtown Austin, TX. We work primarily with hospitals. We’re seeking a hospital reimbursement specialist, particularly experienced in driving additional reimbursement to hospitals through identifying opportunities in Medicare or Medicaid regulations. We are looking for someone who may have experience as a consultant or project owner in preparing Medicare cost reports or working with a hospital Revenue Cycle department to initiate a new process to capture additional reimbursement.

Required Skills:

The successful applicant will have most or all of the following qualities:

· Strong healthcare policy/reimbursement background.

· Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations and experience researching and understanding those regulations independently to increase reimbursement.

· Strong Excel skills; SQL a plus.

· Strong analytical and math skills.

· An entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to seek new and creative revenue opportunities for our clients.

· Ability to discover an idea for a product, develop a proof of concept and work with a team of software programmers to turn the idea into a marketable solution.

· Ability to design new reporting methodologies our clients would find valuable.

· Experience preparing Medicare and Medicaid cost reports preferred.

This full time position is located in Austin TX. Applicant must be eligible to work in USA.
